MORE CHANGES!

First the pups learned all about the whole new world outdoors on the patio with lots of different sights, sounds and footing. Then they came indoors to discover that a new pen awaited them. Pen was made a bit larger to better accommodate their growth and need for more space as well as some toys.

Already --  Week Four!!!!  Just seems like yesterday when we were heading down to the vet to have puppies checked to see if a c-section was needed.
Now, the pups are eating from two pans - and one is the LARGE pan, and they were introduced to the first of their "agility" tunnels....

Next update: Wednesday, after the pups have been outdoors for the first time and also have had their indoor pen enlarged.

WE HAVE NAMES!!!!!

Here we are.....officially named! Girls on pink and boys on blue.....

Just to show you how the pups are changing, thought I would post pix from today....

MORE CHANGES!!!!

Puppies are now learning to eat from a dish.  This is a HUGE transition for puppies since to nurse off their mother, they have their heads up and suck; to eat from a dish they have to lower their heads and lap.  Most Dalmatians learn to do this with absolutely no problems since they are "eating machines".  Puppies are being fed from a dish once a day for now and by this weekend it will be twice a day (this is in addition to nursing off momma Holly). For now, I am just putting a few pups at a time at the one dish so that I know each and every one has a chance to lap. Later on, it will be two, then three, dishes so they will all eat at the same time.

MOVING UP IN THE WORLD !!!!

Now that the puppies are up on their feet better, it is time to give them more space, and to allow them to learn to use their newspapers for potty, rather than their bedding.  Today they moved into a different pen, and in a day or so that pen will be made even larger to give them  more space. Only one change at a time for now since puppies do not like change. As they move around, they develop muscle condition and control, as well as take advantage of their desire to be clean.
Momma Holly thinks the new digs are just fine!!!!

Tomorrow is weekly weigh-in as well as 198 NAILS --  and an introduction to eating out of a dish.....will be great fun for all --  will put pix up on Tuesday.....

RUNNING OUT OF ROOM !!!!!

DEFINITELY ready for larger pen!   Starting to run out of room .... but look how nicely their spots are coming thru...they are going to be VERY prettily marked....

Next update: Sunday after they move into the larger pen!
